 4th battle for this serie

b) Carthage: Général Hch (RD6=5), Hch, Cv,Ax7lh RD6=4) lh,2x2xSP(Sp/ax:RD6=1) 4Ax, 3Ax, 2xPs.

2) Initiative: Gaule: 3+5; carthage: 3+4 -> Carthage defend

3) Terrain: Arable -> ZB (ville) in 3; forest in 4, road in 4 and a gentil hill in 1

beautiful victory of Carthage with the Hch, the Wb are not so good in def.




At this point I wanted to try a " What if". I saw that the Gallic deploiememnt and tactic was not so optimimum so I wanted to see the effect of some different deploiement. Since I play alone, everybody was agree. But for my small Tournament only the first battle is take in account. I play just for fun.

 So an other Battle with the same Armies, initiatives and terrain but some different deploiement.

a) Carthage: almost the same deploiement only the cavalerie is in othe place: the Cv behind the BUA and the Lh on other flank behind the forset.

b) gaule: now only 4 4Wb are place in front in oposition of the SP  with a support of one Lch. The other Wb are placed in front of the forest with a help of Ps and the 2x Cv are in the flank. the last lch is on the left flank in front of the BUA..










. Bound 1.

a)  carthage Pips= 2: Ps move on the edge of the forest to block the progression of theWb, the Lh go around the forest.

b) gaule Pips= 3: the Cv move in direction of the Lh, the line Ps->Lch advance of 2 BW, the Général go on the hill to have everybody in CR.











. Bound 2.

a) Carthage Pips= 2: the second Ps go on the left edge  of the forest to block the advance of the Cv and the 3Ax align withe the first Ps.

b) Gaule Pips= 2: the Ps go in direction of the ps without contact, and the Wb line advance 2 BW. The Lch can not advance due to the TZ of the BUA.

a) Cathage Pips= 2: The ps go to contact Ps(g) and the 4Ax go to bring a débord-> 2+4 vs 2-1+1 -> Ps (g) is killed

Pyrrhus war, first serie: Pyrrhus- Romain camille.

 Third battle.

1) Armies's Composition. 

a) Pyrrhus: Général (RD6=2) -> Kn, Cv, Lh, El,4x 4Pk, 2x 4Pk (RD6=5), 3Ax (RD6=1), Ps.

b) Camille Romain: Général Cv, Cv, 2xPs, 2x4Bd, 2x Sp, 2x Sp, 2x 4Ax.

2) Ininiative. Pyrrhus : 4+5, Romain: 3+4 -> Rome defend

3) Terrain: Arable: -> 2 plugs in 1 and 4, a forest in 3 , a gentil hill in 2 and a road in 4.

4) Déploement. Pyrrhus take the sides 2-3 ( here on the bottom of the picture. I rotate the table 180 to help me to place the Armies and it is so stay.).

a) Rome army: from left to right on the picture; 
4Ax, 4Ax, 2xPs in colum,  Sp, Sp, 4Bd, 4Bd, Sp,Sp, , Cv; the Général is in reserve on the road.
the pla is to attack in direction of the forest with the Ax , the Ps should help or reduce the advance of the Pyrrhus army.

b) Pyrrhus army:
3Ax, Ps in forest, 2x4Pk, Kn(général), El, 2x4Pk, Cv, Lh; 2x 4Pk are in reserve between the last Pk and the Cv.

attack on the right flank with Cv an lh and then in the center with Pk, El and Général.

3) Terrain: Litoral -> WW in sector 1-2, plus marsh in 2 and dune in 3

First serie of Battle with Pyrrhus war: Gaule versus Rome

 First battle of the first serie of new battle: Gaulois (II-11) - Camille Romain (II-10)

1) Army's Composition

a) Gaule: Général Lch, 2xLch, Cv/Wb: Rd6=2 -> 2x3Wb, 6x 4Wb, Ps

b) Rome: Général Cv, Cv, 2x4Bd, 2xSp, 2x Sp, 2x4Ax, 2x Ps

2) Initiative: Gaule 3+3=6; Rome: 3+6 -> Gaule defend.

3) Terrain: Arable -> village (ZB)n in 2, 2 woods in 4 and 1 and a road between 1 and 4

4) Deloyement: Rome take the edge 3-4

Bound 1.

a) Gaule Pips=6: lthe 2x3Wb + Ps move forward 3LB in the direction of the wood. the 4x4WB move in direction of the 4Bd. the 2x4Wb in the village move forward of 2LB, The 2x Lch go around the village and the Général go after the 4Wb on the edge of the village in order to have every body in command radius.

 After the Second and the first Punic war we will continue to play on the same place (italy and Sicile) but little bit early in time (-300 BC to -275 BC). so just before the punic war and the remaniement of the Roman and Carthage Army.
